October: Restaurants

As always, I love to round up the month with some of my favourite restaurants I have enjoyed this past month! I hope these inspires you to try some also!

64 Old Compton Street, W1D 4UQ

This lovely spot is hidden away down Old Compton Street and is seriously good. Its a vegetarian/vegan place – but what I loved about it was it didn’t matter if you weren’t vegan, they accommodated the meal for vegetarian as well.

I had the tagliatelle with mushroom and truffle oil – simply divine. I went for the vegan choice but if you wanted veggie they could have added cream in the sauce!

It was honestly one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had! We also tried the vegan brownie for dessert which was super rich but very very tasty!

8 Lancashire Court, Brook Street, W1S 1EY

I had the opportunity to try this place out over lunch one afternoon and I would highly recommend! It has a gorgeous outside courtyard where we sat and it was lovely!

I had the Fillet of Cod, with Spinach, Saffron and Clam Sauce and it was seriously good! It was so light and lovely and the perfect dish for lunch! I would have totally added fries if I was there for dinner!

My friend enjoyed the Roasted Tuna with Pistachio Crust, Aubergine Caviar and Fennel Salad and she loved it!

Everything on the menu looks seriously good, fresh and simple but also fancy and I can’t wait to go back and try it all!

25 Broadwick Street, W1F 0DF

This place is sooo so good! I’ve been lucky enough to go twice and it is total heaven and a total meat feast! So I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are a vegetarian or vegan! All the food is cooked in a central fire pit so it has this real smokey taste to everything. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures (sorry!!) but please take my recommendation and go! The atmosphere is great in there, really buzzing and the drinks menu is perfection!

What we ordered: (This was 3 of us and definitely enough!)

Aged Cheeseburger Taco

Smoked Goat Taco

Smoked Beef Flatbread (200g)

Smoked Lamb Flatbread (200g)

Beef Fat Potatoes with Ogleshield

Black Vinegar Mushrooms

HEAAVEN! I really really recommend the flat breads, particularly the lamb one, the meat was just so so tender. The potatoes are a MUST and the mushrooms were totally moreish, they had such a strong flavour.

Then for pudding we had honestly the best dessert ever which was essentially chocolate chip cookie dough hot with fior di latte ice cream…. honestly I think one of the best desserts I have ever had!

Busaba Eathai

Various Locations

Busaba is one of my favourite chain restaurants. Thai food is also just one of my favourite cuisines and Busaba performs every time I go. It’s also really reasonably priced which is great! You can eat curry’s, stir-fry’s, noodle dishes and wok fried meats and there is plenty of veggie/vegan items on the menu too!

This time I had:

Por-Pia-Jay – Crispy vegetable spring rolls with Thai sweet chilli sauce.

I am addicted to spring rolls I have to get them every time I go they are so so good!

Green Chicken Curry

I didn’t go for rice as I had the spring rolls – but really yummy and very flavourful.

I can also confirm that the Pad Thai (with or without chicken), the Black Pepper Beef Wok Noodle and the Ginger Beef Stir Fry are all great too!

Also you must treat yourself to some prawn crackers!

I apologise for the lack of photos this month! Hopefully you are still inspired to try one or more of the places I have suggested! Let me know if you do!

Love, A x
