Caper and Lemon Sauce

This tasty tasty sauce is a perfect accompaniment for any fillet of fish, particularly white fish. We had this on some tasty fresh pollack the other day and it really added something to it. White fish can on occasion be a little bland, even the tastiest and freshest! So having a little sauce to go with it really helps!

Ingredients

2-3 tbsp butter

1 tbsp capers

1 lemon, juice

1 shallot, finely chopped

Method

Once you’ve cooked your fillets of fish leave, remove these from the frying pan and in the same pan add the shallot and let this soften. Once it’s soft add in the capers and mash these slightly. Let them heat a little.

Finally add in the butter, stirring until this has melted and is a little foamy.

Add in the lemon juice, stir and remove from the heat.

Drizzle over some tasty pieces of fish!

Enjoy!

Love, A x
